Heat Exchangers
Uniquip supplies a wide variety of
semi-standard
and specialised heat exchangers ...
Heat
exchangers are designed either within the Brown Fintube range
of double pipe or multi-tube units, or as shell and tube exchangers
for the larger duties. The units (right) were for a remote gold mining
location, and featured 304 L stainless steel tubes, tubesheets and
return bends.

Uniquip
Twisted
Tube Heat Exchanger -
a major
improvement to
standard shell& tube and hairpin
heat exchanger technologies.
The
most common application of Brown Fintube in the oil, gas or petrochemical
industries is the Hairpin heat
exchanger unit (right).
This design, assembled from standardised components, forms a "module" from
which a wide range of duties can be met.
This Electric heat exchanger (left) was part of one of the largest electric liquid heating systems
in Australia. It heats circulated
heat transfer oil to 300 degreesC., with a maximum power input
of 2.2MW. Thyristor regulation of the power input gives accurate
temperature
control. Electric elements are designed to be individually removable.
Steam air heaters: Uniquip
has supplied large steam air heaters for power stations, including
several of the major Electricity Commissions. These heaters
ensure that the temperature of the fuel gasses remains above
the dewpoint at the outlet end of the main air heaters. |
